Former Walsall striker Aaron Williams, who hit 38 goals last season for Rushall Olympic, has today acknowledged that Walsall have offered him the chance to train with the squad over pre-season, but has admitted he doesn't holdout much hope of gaining a contract.
Speaking to the
Walsall Advertiser, Aaron said; "Walsall have given me the chance to train with them and I will definitely be there during pre-season but it is a bonus if anything comes of it.
"It's too early to make any decisions yet but if nothing comes of it and I go back to Rushall I would be more than happy as it's a great club to play for. I'm just grateful to Walsall for giving me the chance to train with them and keep my fitness up.
"I'm sure Dean Smith and Richard O'Kelly probably have their eyes on a lot of players because there have been some big names released."
