According to reports in the the Mirror, Everton have joined Newcastle United in the race for Watford's former Walsall striker, Troy Deeney.
The paper suggested on Thursday that former Walsall midfielder and current Toffee's boss Roberto Martinez was interested in the Hornets striker, who joined Watford for £500,000 in 2010 and has bagged twenty goals in three successive seasons, despite a £20,000,000 price tag being put on him.
The increased price hasn't deterred the Toon from reportedly making a £10,000,000 bid as the battle for his signature begins.
