Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of Sunday's season-ending clash with Bristol City, and has discussed the current state of contract negotiations, insisting that he needs to know who's staying before he strengthens his side.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith, who must open negotiations with the Chambers twins, Ben Purkiss, James O'Connor and Mal Benning amongst others said; “Before I know where I am going to strengthen, I need to know whether the out of contract players are going to sign."
