Walsall Football Club have today revealed their 'released and retained' list ahead of the summer break, amongst those to be released is left-back Mal Benning, who has recently returned from a loan spell with York City.
21-year-old, Sandwell born Benning is a product of the Walsall FC Centre of Excellence, and joined the Minstermen on in January for an initial four week spell.
Following his return Mal looked to have improved his playing style and was willing to be a little more competitive in an attacking situation, however with Andy Taylor and Rico Henry occupying the same position may have found his chances of playing limited.
