Walsall Seek to Extend Bradshaw Deal

Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Bristol City, and has insisted that top-scorer Tom Bradshaw is not for sale, and the club are hoping to extend his deal in the near future.

Speaking to the Walsall Advertiser, Smith said; "It's a fantastic achievement to score 20 goals in a season. Tom can take the plaudits and rightly so because he works ever so hard.

"He's a lovely lad along with it as well, a good personality and the type of lad we like having around the place. He's got another year's contract and we are in negotiations to extend that. People will take notice of Tom Bradshaw because of the goals he's scored.

"The difference between Will Grigg scoring 20 and Tom scoring 20 is that Tom's not out of contract. We don't have to sell him to anyone and we've had no offers for him from anybody.

"He's had a great season so far, we've got one game to go and hopefully he can go and score a couple more at Ashton Gate this Sunday."
