Walsall Football Club first-choice goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell has spoken to the club's official website following Good Friday's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Notts County, and has discussed his delight at reaching 100 club appearances, and marking it with a clean sheet.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Richard said; "We had the better chances throughout the game, but it just wouldn't go in for us. On a positive note, the performance was better than last week; we started well and had a few chances early doors, then we hit the post and bar in the second half and their 'keeper saved one with his bum, which he didn't know too much about. It was one of them where the ball just wouldn't go in for us.

"If we continue to play like that we'll get the points that we need. Hopefully something will fall for us and we can take it from there.

"Defensively we were solid and it was nice for me personally to keep a clean sheet. I did what I needed to do when called upon, so it was a nice way to mark my 100th game.

"I'm proud of the record and am really enjoying my football. My focus in on helping us get as many points as we can; we feel that we should be higher in the table, but we are where we are and have to keep plugging away in order for us to start moving in the right direction.

"We have to keep doing the right things and we go to Peterborough on Monday determined to get the points."
