Earlier today Walsall Football Club played host to Oldham Athletic in the penultimate Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season.

Young stopper MacGillivray was named amongst the Walsall starting XI as he came in for Richard O'Donnell, who was dropped amidst rumours of a possible contract refusal.

22-year-old MacGillivray joined Saddlers from Harrogate last summer, and has been making regular reserves and 'behind closed door' appearances throughout the season

He performed well and didn't concede a goal during the match where Oldham could only send shots off target, although Craig did deal well with any breaks into the box, including clearing the danger with a diving header, he was also alert to grasp a Latics freekick during a second half attacking spell.
