On Saturday afternoon Walsall Football Club will play host to Dean Holden's Oldham Athletic, in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season. The latest head-to-head information is below.

Of the fifty-one previous meetings it's all-square between the two with twenty wins apiece. There have also been eleven draws during the fixture's history.

Their first meeting took place at Fellows Park, on Friday, 10th April 1936 and ended in victory for the Latics, who scored two goals to the Saddlers' one.

Walsall went on to lose the return fixture by the same margin later in the season.

The two sides didn't meet again for over twenty years, with the Saddlers winning the next encounter, which took place at Boundary Park, on Saturday, 20th September 1958, by four-goals-to-one, this would be the start of an undefeated streak for the Saddlers which saw them win four and draw one of the next five meetings.

In more modern times, their most recent meeting took place at Boundary Park on Saturday, 11th October 2014, and ended 2-1 to Oldham, goals from Conor Wilkinson and Mike Jones cancelling out Jordan Cook's tenth minute opener.

The Saddlers have won three, drawn one, and lost one of the last five meetings, and will be looking to gain revenge for the defeat earlier this season.
