On Tuesday evening Walsall Football Club will travel to the County Ground to take on Swindon Town in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season.

In terms of head-to-head, of the ninety-four previous meeting's, it's Swindon that hold a small overall lead, with thirty-four wins to the Saddlers' thirty-two. There have also been twenty-eight draws between the two sides.

Their first meeting took place in-front of 6,938 fans at the County Ground, on Saturday, 15th October 1927, and ended five-nil to the hosts.

The Saddlers won just one of the opening five meetings, all of which were in Division Three (South), and shipped another five goals during the sides' third meeting, although this time they did muster a goal of their own.

Their most recent meeting took place at Banks's Stadium on Boxing Day last year and ended four-one to Swindon.

Goals from Michael Smith, Massimo Luongo and an Andy Williams brace proving more than enough to cancel out Tom Bradshaw's eighteenth minute strike, and secure all three points for the Robins.

Walsall have won just one of the last five matches, drawing two, and losing two. If the statistic is expanded to the last ten meetings, Walsall don't fare any better, with one win, five draws and four defeats.
