Earlier this evening, Walsall Football Club defeated local side Chasetown in the Final of the 2014/15 Walsall Senior Cup to give the Saddlers their first taste of Senior Cup glory in their 127 year history.

The match, which was played in-front of over four-hundred fans at Banks's Stadium, ended four-three to the Saddlers after an entertaining extra time affair.

Goals from Jordan Murphy (2), Rico Henry and an Amadou Bakayoko extra-time strike proved enough to cancel out Chasetown's goals which came from Simon Brown (Pen), Danny Edwards and former Saddler Danny Griffiths.

Chasetown were contesting their fourth Senior Cup final, having won the tournament on three previous occasions. Walsall however, were in just their second final of the competition which was first played in 1946.

This is the Saddlers' third cup final of the season having faced Bristol City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in March, and defeated Shrewsbury Town in the Midland Floodlit Youth Cup Final just one week ago.
