Earlier this month the Walsall Football Supporters' Trust released a statement asking Walsall supporters to take part in a minutes applause during Sunday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final clash between the Saddlers and Bristol City, in memory of murdered Bristol schoolgirl Becky Watts, a reminder of the request is below.

In a statement released via walsallfctrust.org.uk, the Trust said; "Bristol City supporter Jason Holbrook has reached out to all Walsall supporters attending this months JPT Final at Wembley Stadium to join them in a 1 minute applause on the 16th minute (3:46) in memory of murdered 16 year old Bristol schoolgirl Becky Watts.

"The tragic story of Becky has been all over the TV, newspapers and online in recent weeks, none more so than this week following the discovery of body parts belonging to Becky and the arrest of her step-brother and his girlfriend in connection with her murder.

"This is a fitting way for both sets of supporters to show their support to the memory of Becky and to her family at this very sad time, and we hope that you will all join in as a mark of respect for someone who's life as been taken away at such an early age."
