Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 defeat to Chesterfield, and has confirmed that sixteen-goal striker Tom Bradshaw was absent from the travelling squad due to a hamstring injury which was picked up on Thursday.
Shrewsbury-born Bradshaw has had a string of issues this season and he and the club will be keen to resolve the issue heading into the 2015/16 league campaign.
Manchester City's Jordy Hiwula started against the Spireites, but was unable to score as the Saddlers extended their poor run of form.
