Walsall Football Club's first-choice goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell has spoken to the press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Barnsley, and has insisted that despite their recent run of indifferent form, the Saddlers can still make it to the play-off places.

Speaking to the Express & Star, Richard said; “We believe it is realistic. We still have 12 games left in the league so there are a lot of points left to be played for.

“It is that tight, anyone in or around us will think with a decent run they can be up there – I have not seen a league like this for a long time. Any of 10 teams, will be thinking they can get in. Why can’t it be us?

“We are going to keep thinking we can get there. We have cut it back down to five points now, we are looking up and hopefully the win at Yeovil can be the start of a run for us.”
