Walsall Football Club midfielder Sam Mantom has continued his recovery from a long-term knee injury by being names amongst the substitutes for the Saddlers' Sky Bet League 1 clash with Barnsley.
Stourbridge-born Mantom has missed the vast majority of the season via a knee injury which he collected during pre season, and was expected to return to action during the Reserves' clash with Morecambe next week.
Mantom underwent a scope on his troublesome knee a few weeks ago and has finally received a diagnosis that has allowed treatment to continue, with the midfielder working closely with Jon Whitney and Dean Harris as he seeks to add to his handful of substitute appearances that he made earlier in the campaign.
