MANTOM RETURNS TO TRAINING / RESERVES?

Walsall Football Club midfielder Sam Mantom, who has missed out on the vast majority of this season's action with a knee injury, has now returned to training after many months of treatment.
Walsall Football Club midfielder Sam Mantom, who has missed out on the vast majority of this season's action with a knee injury, has now returned to training after many months of treatment.

20-year-old Mantom took to Twitter to acknowledge his return to training, he said: "Just left (the) training ground, and what a great day it has been."
There is now a suggestion that Stourbridge born Mantom, who was last season's 'Player of the Season', could play a part in the Saddlers' Reserves clash with Morecambe Reserves in the Final Third Development League (West), which is due to take place at Chasetown's Scholars Ground on Tuesday, 10th March.

Saddlers manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press about Sam's return to training, and has hinted at a possible role for Mantom in the upcoming Reserves fixture.

Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “He is going to need game time, it is just good to have him back training."
