Walsall Football Club have today announced details of a special 'Fan's Forum' that will be held ahead of the Saddlers' first trip to Wembley Stadium, which takes place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final on Sunday, 22nd March.
Walsall Football Club have today announced details of a special 'Fan's Forum' that will be held ahead of the Saddlers' first trip to Wembley Stadium, which takes place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final on Sunday, 22nd March.

The event, which will feature Walsall manager Dean Smith, captain Adam Chambers and two club legends, will take place on Tuesday evening at the Banks’s Stadium and will form part of an exciting event to mark the conclusion of a two-day Trophy Tour organised by Johnstone’s Paint.

Tuesday’s event gets underway at 4pm with supporters invited to come and join in the pre-Wembley fun with giveaways, and enjoy the chance to have their picture taken with the coveted Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Former boss, Chris Nicholl and ex-goalkeeper Mick Kearns, will be attending the event while, from 5pm, manager Smith and a cluster of his Wembley-bound players will be in attendance to meet-and-greet supporters.

The fans forum, run in conjunction with BBC WM, will begin at 6pm and will see Smith, Chambers, Nicholl and Kearns take questions from the fans ahead of the big game against Bristol City on Sunday, March 22nd.

The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Tour begins on Monday morning at the Walsall Johnstone’s Decorating Centre from 7.30am-9.30am.

Before the Banks’s Stadium event on Tuesday, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy team will be taking to the road to visit shops, community groups and businesses who are ‘painting the town red’ to show their support for Walsall.

Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager for Johnstone’s Paint, said: “It promises to be a great two days in Walsall and the event at the Banks’s Stadium culminating in the fans forum should be a fantastic conclusion.

“There will be plenty of pre-Wembley excitement and a chance to meet the players and have a picture with the trophy before the fans forum which features a great line-up for Walsall supporters.”

The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Team will be heading to Bristol on Wednesday and Thursday.
