Walsall Football Club sponsor HomeServe have today released a video showing the transformation of famous Walsall landmark 'Hoppy' the concrete hippo, as he goes from grey to red in support of the Saddlers as they make history by taking on Bristol City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 22nd March.
In a statement released via their YouTube channel, HomeServe said; "To celebrate Walsall FC reaching the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley we’re painting the town red! We've teamed up with local artist Saz from Human Canvas Tattoo and Walsall Council to give Hoppy the Hippo a new look. See how we've changed everyone’s favourite hippo!"
