On Tuesday evening Walsall manager Dean Smith spoke to the press following his side's Sky Bet League 1 defeat to Preston North End, and offered an update on the status of left-back
Rico Henry, who came off during the game with a suspected separated shoulder.
Speaking to the
Express & Star, Smith said; “The referee’s have said it was a coming together. I don’t want to whinge about officials but the kid is in hospital now with a dislocated shoulder.
“They said it was a coming together and I have seen it since and he is in front of the lad, how it was a coming together I don’t know.
“He is in hospital now waiting for an X-Ray. It looked like his shoulder had popped out and I don’t know how long it will take. With a Wembley date coming up, it is unfortunate.”
