Speaking to
Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "I was delighted to be able to bring Jordy Hiwula on board this week. He’s an up-and-coming talent whom I watched on Monday evening for the Manchester City Under-21s, so he is up to speed in terms of game time.

"He’s a player that I have monitored for a long time and Patrick Vieira speaks very highly of him.
"It’s good that we are building links with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. They are big clubs who know that their young players can develop with us."
