Jordy Hiwula made his debut as a substitute, and scored within just a few minutes of taking to the field, he spoke to the press about his goal, and insisted; "This is just the start.".
Speaking to the
Express & Star, Jordy said; “This is just the start. I didn’t have my first training session at Walsall until Thursday but I will train even more with the lads this week and we have the game tomorrow too.
“It’s about being around my team-mates, getting used to them and what they are doing. Hopefully I can bed in even more.
“I had two touches prior to the goal. We worked the ball well out wide and then I saw the cross coming, so I just made the run in front of the defender and it went in.
“It wasn’t the easiest of finishes and I just wanted to get a good connection on the ball. It managed to go in and I’m happy with that.”
