Walsall Football Club striker Ashley Grimes has spoken to the club's official website, following Sunday evening's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Gillingham, and has discussed his delight at finally ending his goal drought.
Speaking to
Saddlers.co.uk, Ashley said; "I'm made up to finally break my duck. It's been a long time coming; I needed that break and it was nice to see the ball hit the back of the net.
"It was disappointing that we couldn't go on and win the game. We were the better side in the first half and then after we equalised, I felt that we would go on and get the three points.
"A few months ago we would have probably lost that game, but the lads dug in to pick up a point, which could prove valuable come the end of the season."
