Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website following the 'Deadline Day' departure of French striker,
Mathieu Manset, and has wished him well for the future.
Speaking to
Saddlers.co.uk, Dean said; "Unfortunately things did not go as well as we were hoping. A lot of that is to do with the excellent form of Tom Bradshaw.
"Mathieu has displayed a good attitude during his time with us, but at this stage of his career he needs to be playing regular first-team football, and we can't offer him that here.
"He leaves with our thanks and best wishes for the future."
