Following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash between Walsall and Bradford City, Saddlers manager Dean Smith, along with several of the club's players offered their views on the game.

The Saddlers came back from a goal down to hold their opponents to a draw, 'Transfer Dedaline Day' loan signing Jordy Hiwula grabbing the all important goal.

Manager Dean Smith said; "It was a hard-earned point and a fair result in the end. Both teams tried to win but the conditions were difficult out there.

"It was not a great spectacle but certainly the pitch does not help that. Two teams tried their hardest to win the game."

Loaned-in Leicester City midfielder Michael Cain said; "It was a draining pitch, but we battled hard and capped it with a well-worked goal to get a deserved point in the end."

Right-back Ben Purkiss said: "Tough battle today and a good point after going behind. Support was fantastic throughout."

Versatile winger Jordan Cook said; "Probably look back at today and say it's a great point on a tough pitch against a very tough team. Travelling fans brilliant as always."

This page will be further updated as the players and staff share their views.
