Walsall Football Club have today sealed an extension on the loan agreement of Leicester City midfielder Michael Cain, for the remainder of the 2014/15 Sky Bet League 1 season.

20-year-old, Luton-born Cain is a product of the Luton Town Academy, and joined Leicester in the summer of 2011, in a deal reported to be worth more than £100,000.

After a couple of season's with the Foxes youth and reserve sides Michael was loaned out to Sky Bet League 2 outfit Mansfield Town in late February 2014, he went on to make just a handful of first team appearances for the Stags before returning to the King Power Stadium.

After another spell in the Foxes reserves Michael joined Walsall in early October 2014, and after spending a period of time training with the squad agreed to a one month loan deal later in the month.

Michael went on to put in several solid performances for the Saddlers, which convinced Dean Smith to extend the deal for another thirty-days November, and then again in December.

He has continued to impress whilst at the club, including scoring the first league goal of his professional career, during the 1-4 defeat to Scunthorpe United. He scored his second league goal during last weekend's 2-0 win over Colchester United.
