Versatile Walsall Football Club defender James Chambers has spoken to the press following last weekend's Sky Bet League 1 victory over Colchester United, and has discussed the Saddlers' poor home form which has seen them concede ten goals in the last three games, and is in stark contrast to their away form, that has seen them defeat teams such as Preston North End, Milton Keynes Dons and Rochdale.

Speaking to the Express & Star, James said; "It’s difficult. There are going to be teams up and down the country, all over the world who struggle with aspects of their home form or away form.

"At the moment we are not in the greatest form at home but we are looking to change that and play the same way we do away, moving the ball well, playing as a unit. It doesn’t add up. We have been so good defensively for much of the season and we have had a couple of games where we’ve conceded a lot.

"Whether we felt we deserved to lose those games by the scores we did, the fact is we did. It’s about cutting out individual errors and with the things we have been working on, hopefully we will do that.

“If you look at the results and the goals conceded it doesn’t look good. But I think in the games we have lost we have played well in parts of those games and the results could have been a whole lot different if not for individual errors.

"You can’t afford lapses in concentration because no matter who you are playing, whether it be a team at the top or the bottom, you will find yourself on the back of a bad result.

"There have been too many times when we have played so well and not got what we feel we should out of a game. It's nice to not play as well as we can do but get three points.

"It must have been difficult for Colchester, because we have been in games where we feel we should have got something.

"But, for us, it's something we need to add to our armoury – not playing well but picking up the points. On Saturday, it was a satisfying thing.”
