On Thursday afternoon a Walsall Football Club Youth XI took on a Manchester City Elite Development Squad XI in a behind closed doors friendly.
Man City's EDS XI won the match by three-goals-to-nil with goals from Adam Drury and Olivier Ntcham along with a Jack Byrne penalty proving more than enough to seal the victory for the young Citizens.
Earlier in the week a Walsall Under 21s side defeated Burton Albion U21s by one-goal-to-nil at St George's Park, Hereford born winger Kieron Morris grabbing the winner just before the final whistle.
