This Sunday afternoon Walsall will make the trip to Buckinghamshire to take on Milton Keynes Dons in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season, here is the latest team news, head to head statistics, and more.

  WALSALL LATEST
Dean Smith's side head into Sunday's game on the back of a 4-1 home defeat to Swindon Town, a result that put an end to the Saddlers' unbeaten run that stretched to seven league fixtures.

Smith has no new injury concerns heading into the game and is not expected to make many changes despite Friday afternoon's defeat.

Andy Taylor is still doubtful with a knee injury. Saddlers' Physio Jon Whitney continues to work with the left-back as he looks to return to first-team action in the near future.

Midfielder Sam Mantom also continues to miss out as he looks to regain some fitness.

  THE OPPOSITION
Karl Robinson’s side, who are unbeaten in twelve league games, sit second in Sky Bet League 1 after a 1-0 victory away at Notts County on Boxing Day, they are level on points with Swindon Town and Preston North End but ahead of them both on goal difference.

Mark Randall and George Baldock are both fit again, however, Sunday's game will come too soon for full-back Lee Hodson (ankle) and winger Ben Reeves (hamstring).

Danny Green, Samir Carruthers and Will Grigg will also be pushing for recalls.

  HEAD TO HEAD
In terms of head-to-head, MK Dons hold a slender advantage, with seven wins to the Saddlers' five. There have also been six draws between the two.

Their first meeting took place at the National Hockey Stadium on 30th October 2004, the match ending in a 1-1 draw, Malvin Kamara and Darren Wrack with the goals.

In more recent times, the two sides last met on 8th February 2014, with MK Dons defeating Walsall 3-0 at the Banks's Stadium. An Izale McLeod brace along with a Ben Reeves penalty more than enough to secure all three points for the visitors.

  THE OFFICIALS
Mr. Carl Berry, who is based in Surrey, is scheduled to be taking control of this game.

Referee Berry has officiated over seventeen games this season, where he has issued sixty-six yellow, and five red cards. He has also awarded five penalties so far this campaign.

Mr.Berry's most recent Walsall match was last season's 1-0 defeat away to Port Vale, which took place on 5th April, Richard Duffy, Doug Loft and Billy Knott all being booked for the hosts, whilst Walsall's players remained without caution for the entire game.

Mr. Nigel Lugg and Mr. Dean Treleaven are set to be assisting the referee, whilst Mr. Michael Webb is scheduled to be Fourth Official.
