Walsall Football Club and top-scorer Tom Bradshaw have been named Shoot Magazine's - Sky Bet League 1 Team and Player of the Week following last weekend's Sky Bet League 1 demolition of Milton Keynes Dons.
Article author Dan Church states; "Automatic promotion hopefuls Milton Keynes Dons were rocked 3-0 by surprise package Walsall at stadium:mk for their first league defeat in 13 games. The hosts fell behind after just four minutes when Darren Potter diverted Andy Taylor’s free-kick past his own goalkeeper. Another defensive error from Potter then led to Walsall’s second goal of the game as his weak back header allowed Tom Bradshaw to nip in and beat David Martin. The Wales Under-21 international then bagged his brace and 12th league goal of the season on 77 minutes to lift the Saddlers into the top-half of the table."
Former Shrewsbury Town striker Bradshaw has notched fourteen goals since arriving at Banks's Stadium and is an early favorite for 2014/15 Player of the Season.
