Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One trip to Fleetwood Town, and has called on his side to bounce-back from the mid-week FA Cup exit against to Shrewsbury Town with another solid Sky Bet League One display.

Speaking to saddlers.co.uk. Smith said; "There are some big games on the road coming up, starting with Saturday's trip to Fleetwood Town.

"Whilst Tuesday's performance in our FA Cup first round replay defeat at Shrewsbury was disappointing, we must not lose sight of the fact that our displays have been very good over the past month or so.

"The opportunity is there to bounce back in the right way against a Fleetwood Town side who have adapted well to life at the higher level following promotion at the end of last term.

"Whilst there is no denying the fact that they have been well funded, they have done well over the years because its tough to keep getting better each season as they have done for some time now.

"They are a side who like to play football on a decent surface; I always felt that they would be one of the threats in the upper reaches of the table this season, so we are looking forward to the challenge that stands before us."
