Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press as he continues to prepare for Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League One tie against Coventry City, and has discussed his side's recent good run of league form, putting at least some of the success down to the players' belief in their abilities.
Speaking to the
Express & Star, Smith said; “I think it is the belief in the players. Crawley away, even though we lost, was a spark when we went there and dominated the game.
“Even though we lost the belief was there from that game. We then went on and beat Chesterfield and we have kept marching on since.
“We have been progressing with our performances. We have had three very good performances including Crawley, they have been excellent.
“We have managed to get two good results out of the past two games against Notts County and Fleetwood and I feel we have deserved them as well.
“I have always felt the performances were the important thing and the results then follow.”
