This coming Tuesday evening Walsall Football Club make the trip to Greenhous Meadow to take on near rivals Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup First Round Replay.

Walsall arrive at the game on the back of a nil-nil draw with Peterborough United, the Saddlers dominating the match for lengthy periods but suffering without Tom Bradshaw's movement up-front.

 WALSALL TEAM NEWS
Manager Dean Smith continues to have an almost fully-fit squad to select from, but will likely be without top-scorer Tom Bradshaw who was substituted during the Saddlers' televised Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over Sheffield United with a hamstring injury. French striker Mathieu Manset is expected to deputise.

Midfielder and last season's 'Player of the Season' Sam Mantom could be set for his first start of the season after returning to full fitness following a lengthy spell out with a knee injury.

 OUR OPPONENTS
Shrewsbury Town will arrive at the game following a 2-0 Sky Bet League Two victory over Mansfield Town, the win taking the Shrews back up to second in the league table as they seek to return to League One at the first time of asking.

Shrewsbury manager Micky Mellon will welcome back midfielder Ryan Woods after suspension.

However, striker Andy Mangan's participation in the replay is doubtful after picking up a small knock.

 HEAD TO HEAD
Of the eighty-six previous encounters it is Walsall that hold the advantage, with thirty-nine wins to the Shrews' twenty-two. There have also been twenty-five draws between the two sides.

Their first meeting took place on 17th November 1945 in the First Round if the FA Cup, with Shrewsbury winning 5-0 at Gay Meadow.

In more modern times Walsall have a large win advantage over their opponents, with the Shrews only managing two victories in the last sixteen meetings (four draws, ten defeats).

 THE OFFICIALS
Tuesday evening's referee is scheduled to be Gavin Ward, who is based in Surrey. Mr Ward has officiated over thirteen games this season, where he has issued fifty-one yellow and one red card.

Robert Massey-Ellis and Robert Jones are scheduled to be assisting the referee, whilst Karl Evans is due to be Fourth Official.
