This weekend Walsall Football Club make the trip North to take on Fleetwood Town in the latest Sky Bet League One fixture of the season.

  TEAM NEWS
Walsall will arrive at the fixture following a 1-0 FA Cup First Round Replay defeat to Shrewsbury Town, a loss that put an end to the Saddlers' promising undefeated spell, which stretched to five games in all competitions.

Walsall will likely be without Tom Bradshaw, who has missed the last few games with a slight hamstring tear.

Whilst midfielder Sam Mantom, who has missed out on the last few matchday squads with an apparent recurrence of the knee injury which has seen him miss much of the season, could be set to return to the team and may face a fitness test later this week.

  THE OPPOSITION
Fleetwood Town arrive at this weekend's match on the back of a 1-0 League One defeat to Yeovil Town, the Fleet, who are currently tenth in the table, have won just three of their last ten league games, and also crashed out of the FA Cup, losing 1-0 to Richard Money's Cambridge United.

Midfielder Matty Blair has been allowed to join Cambridge United on loan until the end of January. The 25-year-old has played 10 times this season, but has not started a game since September.

  HEAD TO HEAD
In-terms of head to head Walsall hold the lead, in an admittedly short fixture history, with one win and one draw, the Fleet are yet to pick up a win over the Saddlers.

This fixture will be the first League meeting between the two sides, their first meeting took place on 6th November 2010 in the First Round of the FA Cup, the match resulted in a 1-1 draw, with goals from Jamie Mullan and Matt Richards.

The Saddlers won the resulting replay 2-0, with Reuben Reid picking up both Saddlers' goals.

  THE OFFICIALS
The referee for this weekend's tie is scheduled to be Mark Haywood, who is based in West Yorkshire.

At the time of publication Mr Haywood had taken charge of seventeen games in various competitions this season, where he had issued forty-seven yellow and three red cards.

Steven Copeland and Joe Hull are scheduled to be assisting the referee, whilst Richard Bartlett will be Fourth Official.
