This weekend Walsall Football Club travel the short distance to the Ricoh Arena to take on Coventry City in the latest Sky Bet League One fixture of the season. Below, is the latest head-to-head information.

In-terms of overall head-to-head, of the forty-three previous meetings, it's Coventry City that hold the lead, with twenty victories to the Saddlers' twelve. There have also been eleven draws between the two sides.

Their first meeting took place at Highfield Road, on 31st October 1903, the Saddlers defeating the Sky Blues 4-2 in the First Qualifying Round of the Football Association Challenge Cup.

Their most recent meeting took place late last season, Coventry beating Walsall by two-goals-to-one at their temporary home of Sixfields Stadium. Callum Wilson and Nathan Delfouneso with the home-sides goals, whilst left-back Malvind Benning scored for the Saddlers.

Walsall have won just one of the last ten meetings, a statistic that includes three draws and six defeats and dates back to October 2001.

Aside from Walsall's most recent victory, a 4-0 League win on April 1st 2013, the previous Saddlers victory came on 9th October 1984, with Walsall winning 3-0 in a Milk Cup Second Round, Second Leg fixture.

The Saddlers took on Chelsea in the Third Round, and forced the Blues into a replay after drawing 2-2 at Fellows Park, on 30th October 1984.

Walsall exited the competition just a week later, losing 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
