Last weekend Walsall Football Clubs Under 18s side were defeated 2-0 at home to Tranmere Rovers in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) Fixture of the season, that defeat was the Saddlers second of the season, following an opening eight game unbeaten run.

Walsall remain top of the table with a one point advantage over the side that inflicted their first defeat of the season just over a week ago, Oldham Athletic, however the Latics have two games in hand over the Saddlers, which could see the side move five points clear.
