Walsall Football Club top-scorer Tom Bradshaw has been formally rule out of tomorrow's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Second Round clash with Rochdale thanks to a hamstring strain, which he picked up during last weekend's draw with Bristol City.
In a statement released via saddlers.co.uk, manager Dean Smith confirms; “Tom felt it as he
struck the ball, so we took no chances and replaced him as soon as we could.
"Hopefully it’s just a strain; he’s going for a scan
on Tuesday just to make sure that there is no tear.
“It means that he won't be available for our Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Rochdale, but his
absence gives someone else the opportunity to come in and show what they can do.”
