Walsall Football Club attacking-midfielder Romaine Sawyers has completed a successful spell of international duty, as he helped steer St Kitts and Nevis through the first round of qualification for the 2014 Caribbean Cup.

Romaine started all three of the Sugar Boyz group matches, notching a goal in the second versus Dominica, a match that ended 5-0 to the home side thanks to goals from Atiba Harris, Zephaniah Thomas, Joash Leader and Romaine, along with an early own goal from Dominica's Kevin Lawrence.

St Kitts' opening fixture was an action-packed 0-0 draw with St Lucia, whilst they rounded off the week with a 2-0 victory over Guyana, thanks to goals from Zephaniah Thomas and Atiba Harris.

All of the Group 6 matches were held in the Warner Park Stadium, which is based on the Warner Park Sporting Complex, an athletic facility in Basseterre, St Kitts.

St Kitts & Nevis now move into the Second Round of qualification, where they'll be entered into Group 8, and will be joined by; Haiti, Barbados, and French Guiana, fixtures in Group 8 are to be staged in Haiti, and will take place between 6th and 13th October 2014.

In March 2014, it was announced that Jamaica would host the 'final stage' of the competition in Montego Bay.
