This weekend, Walsall Football Club play host to Doncaster Rovers in the latest round of 2014/15 Sky Bet League One fixtures.

The Saddlers arrive at the game on the back of a 0-0 draw away to Gillingham, which given the reds' recent form could be seen as an important point on the road to Sky Bet League One survival.

 WALSALL TEAM NEWS
Walsall will be boosted by the return of top-scorer Tom Bradshaw who is back in the squad after missing the last two games through injury.

Defender James Chambers is also fully fit and could come back into the side after missing the previous few games with a groin strain.

Full back Ben Purkiss made a mid-week return to action, as he played the opening 45 minutes of the Saddlers' reserves match against Port Vale on Wednesday. He is however, expected to miss this weekend's match due to a lack of fitness.

Jordan Cook (ankle), Sam Mantom (knee), and Matt Preston (thigh) are all still out, though are at varying stages of recovery and could feature in the very near future.

Whilst club captain Adam Chambers could face a fitness test ahead of the game.

 OUR OPPONENTS
Doncaster, who are currently 15th in the league, have endured a somewhat mixed opening to the season, victories over, Yeovil Town (0-3), Colchester United (0-1) and Chesterfield (3-2), have been interspersed with defeats to Port Vale (1-3), Oldham Athletic (0-2), and Bristol City (3-0).

Donny have had something of a successful Capital One Cup run, with a First Round victory over York City (0-1), which was followed up with a win over Watford (1-2) in the Second Round before the side succumbed to Fulham in the Third Round (2-1).

 HEAD TO HEAD
This weekends match will be the fifty-seventh between the two, with Walsall holding the advantage of twenty-six wins to Rovers' twenty-one. There have also been nine draws during the fixtures history.

Their first encounter took place on 19th January 1924, with the match ending 3-0 to Doncaster at their then home of Belle Vue.

The Saddlers made quick their revenge; by defeating Rovers 5-2 at Fellows Park, just a week later.

In more recent times, over the last five meetings, it is all square between the sides, with two victories, two defeats and a draw.

The Saddlers won their last match 1-2 at the Keepmoat, thanks to goals from Andy Butler and Febian Brandy, with Rovers' goal coming from the ever-dependable, Billy Paynter.

 THE OFFICIALS
Scott Mathieson is due to be this weekend's referee. 51-year-old, Cheshire based Mathieson has officiated over 399 matches in his career, including three games this season, where he has issued five yellow cards.

Mathieson's last game in charge of Walsall was on New Year's Day 2013, when the Saddlers beat Stevenage 1-0 at Banks's Stadium.

Mark Duncan and Paul Graham will be running the lines, whilst Andrew Fox will be Fourth Official.
