Romaine Sawyers has today spoken of his delight at notching his first goals of the season, for both club, and country and also discussed his relationship with the supporters.
Speaking to the
Express & Star, Romaine, who has recently returned from a spell with St Kitts and Nevis, said: "I can accept when supporters are, shall we way, not on my side, when my performances were like they were.
“I think if I perform like I did on Saturday, I will have them with me, more than without me.
“The club has always supported me since I have been here and the reception when I came off on Saturday good, it made me feel good about myself.
"The first goal in St Kitts was a big relief and to bring it back here was another massive relief.
“Hopefully I can kick on from here and the team can kick on after the first victory. It was a massive win. I think the whole team enjoyed it.”
