Later this evening, Walsall Football Club travel to Greater Manchester to take on Rochdale, in the latest Sky Bet League One fixture with the Saddlers continuing to suffer from an injury crisis. Below is the latest news.

Both Adam Chambers (ankle) and Tom Bradshaw (thigh) were substituted during the weekend victory over Preston North End.

Club captain Chambers has undergone an x-ray which has allayed fears of a serious injury with the midfielder set to undergo a fitness test ahead of this evening's trip to face Rochdale.

Striker Tom Bradshaw, who came off after feeling tightness in his thigh will also undergo a fitness test but is expected to recover fairly quickly, even if that means missing tonight's match away to Rochdale.

Walsall manager Dean Smith spoke to the Express & Star about the current injury issues, he said: "We were a bit concerned about Adam after the game on Saturday because his ankle had swollen quite badly.

“But he has been for an X-Ray which has confirmed there is no serious damage and the swelling has gone down well, so he stands a chance of making it.

“Tom is feeling a lot better and we think Saturday’s problem might have been caused by a bit of fatigue more than anything else.

“Hopefully, if Adam and Tom are fit, it will be the bit of luck we have needed in terms of our injury problems turning around."

Meanwhile Amadou Bakayoko, Rico Henry, Jordan Cook, James Chambers, Sam Mantom, Matt Preston, and Ben Purkiss all continue to recieve treatment for their various injuries.
