Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One match with Doncaster Rovers, and has offered a brief injury update.
Speaking to the
Walsall Advertiser, Smith said: “Ben Purkiss was set to play in a reserve game, while James Chambers, Jordan Cook and Tom Bradshaw are all back training.
“There’s only Sam Mantom left doing rehab work with Jon Whitney so it is a real positive that the injury situation has lessened.
“It’s been really hard to cope with such a lengthy injury list but we've managed to weather the storm hopefully and, with the exception of a couple of really poor performances, I think we've done ok.”
