Walsall Football Club defender Ben Purkiss is set to return to action after missing out on the majority of pre-season training and the start of the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One campaign through injury.
Walsall Football Club defender Ben Purkiss is set to return to action after missing out on the majority of pre-season training and the start of the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One campaign through injury.

30-year-old, Sheffield-born Purkiss is set to start for the Saddlers as they take on port Vale in the Reds' opening reserve game of the season.

Ben rolled his ankle during the Saddlers pre-season trip to Devon and Somerset.

Walsall Reserves v Port Vale Reserves takes place today at the Scholars Ground, Chasetown. Kick off is set for 2pm, admission is £2 for Adults and £1 for concessions.

Season ticket holders can gain FREE entry with the production of their booklet.
