LATEST: SMITH DISAPPOINTED WITH A POINT

Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith spoke the club's official website following the Saddlers' 0-0 draw with Bradford City, and expressed his disappointment that his side failed to collect all three points despite dominating large swathes of the match.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk Smith said; “It was a hard-fought encounter. I was pleased to see us have a lot of the play, but disappointed that we couldn’t get a goal.

“We kept the ball really well and dominated the possession against well-organised opponents who had to defend for long periods.

“We’ll take heart from that and it’s a sign of how we are progressing that we’ve come out of our two League games so far disappointed not to have taken all three points in each of the
them.”

"It's very difficult to break down a team, as well organised as that, but the positive thing for me is the way we moved the ball really well, and it's a clean sheet."
