Walsall Football Club first-team manager Dean Smith has today revealed that he is hopeful of completing deals for two forward players, as he seeks to avoid a repeat of the goal-scoring issues suffered throughout last season.
Speaking to the
Express & Star, Smith said; “I’m looking at getting a couple in still and we are doing work on those two players. It’s just forward players in general.
"We said last season we did not score enough goals and that is the area where we want to get better.”
It is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Liam McAlinden is one of Smith's targets, with the 20-year-old set to link up with the Saddlers on loan later this week.
