Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has today spoken to members of the press ahead of this weekends Sky Bet League One game against Bradford City.

Speaking to members of the press, Smith revealed that he is working on bringing in a new centre-forward, either permanently or on loan and hopes to agree terms with a club early next week.

It is understood that the player concerned will either be released to the club or allowed to join on loan for a period of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Liam McAlinden continues to be linked to the Saddlers despite Smith dismissing the link earlier this week.

French striker Mathieu Manset is unlikely to link up with the Saddlers however, as 'The Beast' has not been in contact with the club for over a week.
