Walsall Football Club have this afternoon revealed that the club will receive a 'bye' and bypass Round One of this years Johnstone's Paint Trophy.In a statement released via saddlers.co.uk, the club confirm; "The Saddlers have been handed a bye in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
"Eight teams in the northern section and eight teams from the southern half of the draw have been fortunate enough to receive byes. Walsall will be in the northern section this season.
The draw for the first round will take place on Saturday, August 16th."
