Late last month the Football League released the attendance data for the 2013/14 season, the data shows that Football League crowds, over the last few seasons, are at their highest levels for half a century.
Late last month the Football League released the attendance data for the 2013/14 season, the data shows that Football League crowds, over the last few seasons, are at their highest levels for half a century.

The Sky Bet Championship remained the fourth best attended division in Europe, with Sky Bet League 1 and Sky Bet League 2 crowds much higher than their equivalent divisions in other European countries.

The statistics also reveal that Walsall Football Club's Banks's Stadium has seen a steady growth in crowd numbers over the past few seasons, rising from an average of 4,019 during 2009/10 to 4,811 last season.

The Saddlers are further boosted by a marked rise in away attendances, statistics show that the club has more than doubled its travelling support in five years, rising from an average of 205 during 2009/10 to an impressive 490 last term.
