As reported over the past week, Walsall Football Club have been running the rule over two Spanish trialists following Dean Smith, Dean Holden, and Richard O'Kelly's
scouting trip, which took place in May.
Last week, 24-year-old
José Antonio Sanchez Naya joined 25-year-old
Javier Lopez Iglesias at the club, the latter of whom is believed to have played a part in the behind-closed-doors friendly against Wigan Athletic and is also
with the first-team squad in Devon ahead of a duo of South-West friendlies to be played this week.
However it is now being suggested that 27-year-old Real Avilés midfielder
Borja Prieto Ruiz is also on trial with the Saddlers.
Barakaldo-born Ruiz made around 15 appearances for Real Avilés CF last season.
Nothing has been confirmed by either party at the time of publication, however links on several Spanish Twitter accounts appear to link Ruiz with the club.
