Walsall goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell has today spoken of his excitement ahead of the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One season, and of the games he's looking forward to...

Speaking to the Walsall Advertiser, O'Donnell said: "It's a tasty opener for us and one we know we can win. We beat them in the cup last season and were unlucky in the league.

"It would have been nice to open up with a home fixture but we know we can beat anyone in this league. We made a great start last year winning our opening three games and it's important to get off to a good start. It sets the tone for a successful season.

"Obviously the Chesterfield game stands out for me as it's my former club. I'm looking forward to playing against Doncaster and Barnsley too, who have both just come down from the Championship.

"The league has a real northern feel to it. Scunthorpe and Fleetwood have come up as well. The season promises to be a good test for us and we cannot wait to get started."
