Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has spoken about the club's transfer activity, and has revealed his hope of completing deals over the weekend...

Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said: "We're getting close on a couple of players now which I am hopeful will be completed over the weekend.

"They are players who we have targeted and it’s just a case of ironing out one or two little things. But I am happy with the way things are going. We’re on course."
