Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has today spoken of his commitment to the club's current match tactics and has insisted that there will be no major tactical change over the close season...

Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said: “We had 17 attempts on goal in the last game against Colchester and they had four. If we want to change the way we play, then we might only create four chances.

“It’s about players. If you get the right players in, then hopefully they will be taking the chances.”

Smith also agreed that whilst a new centre forward is a priority, other squad members need to chip in with more goals too, he said: “There’s got to be more from other people certainly. I've said before with Romaine Sawyers it’s his first full season and he’s scored seven goals.”
